MACBOOK G4 17 UPGRADE
I should upgrade to something newer in the store. She indicated that I really don't want this computer anymore because it will not keep up with the speeds of the internet today and that it was built in 2002, first generation of titanium powerbooks. Her analysis lead to this conclusion by simply depressing the power button and stating "it does not turn on". I finally went to the Apple Store where the "genius" told me the logic board was dead.
I have been trying to get this powerbook G4 15 inch to boot for a month. Where the outlet on the machine has a small dent in it and the so the plug doesn't sit as well in the machine as usual. I haven't had any problems with this before. When I test the battery level by pressing the battery-tester-button down one dot is fully and an other is blinking. I tried taking the battery out and in again.

The mac appears to be sleeping but the screen is black. When the orange light lights up on the plug it always starts charging! I turned it off and on again to get my work on a USB stick, but when I turned it on again it was only one 1% battery left so I had to turn it off.Now it has been plugged in for a long time and I can`t turn it on. But the battery icon on screen didn't indicate any charging. I plugged it in the wall and the orange light on the little the plug that goes in the machine lit up. Hi there! I was working on my G4 Powermac, with only one program open when I the battery was running low.
